On April 1 2009 the G20 world leaders' meetings were held in London. A massive wave of protests was planned to protest against many things, from ineffectual governmental responses to climate change to the economic irresponsibility that led to the current global credit crunch. Although there were some clashes, arrests and property damage, most of the events were relatively peaceful - as this particular 'sit in' on Poultry, a few hundred yards from the Bank of England shows. Three protesters relaxing in the street, massed police on one side, and massed... er, photographers and sightseers on the other.
