You'll normally see just pedestrians and a few pedal-cabs making their way through the narrow winding streets in the oldest parts of Barcelona, but you have to watch out for the occasional car nipping through the wider routes as well.

Remember to look up; the tall buildings have many balconies looking out and across the alleys and back streets.
