On Hickory Nut Gap Farm, this is where organic apples are turned into fresh cider by crushing, pressing and filtering the juice from the freshly-picked fruit. The cider is bottled and sold chilled in the Farm shop about 40 paces away.

(Note to non-US viewers: in America the name ‘cider’ means all kinds of apple juice, not just fermented ‘hard’ cider.)
