Ever since I lived in the Hickory Nut Gap Farm as a teenager I've wanted to capture the feeling of tranquility that this view has. I have an old photo of this that I took when I was 18, and now, twenty six years later, this panorama shows that the view and the porch itself, and the feeling too, remains the same.

This is looking roughly north-west from near the Hickory Nut Gap pass, back down towards Fairview and more of the Blue Ridge mountains.
